Overview

ContestTrack (“we”, “our”) helps fantasy baseball commissioners run contests and view standings. This policy explains what data we collect and how the ContestTrack ESPN Linker browser extension handles ESPN credentials.

Account data

When you create an account we store:

  • Username and email
  • Password hash (we never store plaintext passwords)
  • Subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription IDs (if you subscribe)
  • Linked leagues and contest configuration/results you create

Browser extension data

The ContestTrack ESPN Linker extension helps you connect a private ESPN Fantasy league without using browser developer tools.

  • What it reads: ESPN cookies named espn_s2 and SWID, and the league ID from the active ESPN tab URL when available.
  • What it stores locally: your ContestTrack site URL and a signed pairing token in browser extension storage (so you don’t re-paste every time).
  • What it sends: only to your ContestTrack server, when you click “Link this league”: league ID + those ESPN cookies + your pairing token.
  • What it does not do: it does not sell data, show ads, inject scripts into ESPN pages, or send cookies to third parties other than your ContestTrack backend.

On our servers, ESPN cookies are stored encrypted and used only to fetch league stats for contests you run.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on ContestTrack servers. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Cookies & sessions

ContestTrack uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. The extension does not read your ContestTrack session cookie; it uses the pairing token you paste from the Link League page.

Retention & deletion

You can delete linked leagues from My Leagues. To delete your account or request data removal, contact us using the support email in the site footer. Extension pairing tokens expire and can be replaced anytime by generating a new token on the Link League page.
